Zero Orbit review: six planets, one per row
A space station, a pilot and a stranger in a violet cloak. In Zero Orbit each row of the grid is governed by its own planet, and winning makes the planets stronger.
Published 4 October 2026 · Updated 5 October 2026 · Nocturn Play
Zero Orbit, released by Nocturn Play on 30 September 2026, is a space-themed cluster slot on a 6×5 grid. Groups of five or more touching symbols win and cascade away, and every row has a planet holding a multiplier from ×1 to ×10: a winning group takes the highest planet it touches, which then levels up. Comets are wild, portals trigger free spins in which the planets keep their level. Max win 5,000× the bet; medium volatility; free to play on nocturnplay.com.
Life on the station
The grid floats in the window of an orbital station. A pilot monitors the controls, and a mysterious figure in a violet cloak watches from the side. Down the edge of the grid run six planets, one for each row, each glowing with its current multiplier. The look is clean and readable, which helps, because there is a lot to track.
Clusters and cascades
There are no lines. Five or more identical symbols connected horizontally or vertically form a group. Groups pay, disappear, and the symbols above fall to fill the space. New groups can form in the refill, and the cascade continues until the grid settles.
The planet system
Here is the clever part. Each row's planet carries a multiplier between ×1 and ×10. When a group wins, it is multiplied by the highest planet among the rows it touches. Then that planet goes up a level. In the base game, planets go back to their starting level at the beginning of each new round, so the climb happens within cascades.
Comets are the wilds. Besides substituting, a comet that lands raises the planet of its row by one level, which can prepare a much bigger multiplier for the next group.
Free spins with planets that stay
Four, five or six portals award 10, 12 or 15 free spins. The difference from the base game is that planets keep their level from one free spin to the next. As the bonus goes on, rows become more and more valuable; late spins can see several planets near the top of their range. The bonus can also be bought for 35.2× the bet.

A cascade with numbers
Bet: 50 kroner. The planets read ×1 on every row. A group of six blue crystals spreads across rows 2 and 3: it pays at ×1, and the planet of row 2 climbs to ×2. The cascade brings a comet onto row 3, raising that planet to ×2 as well. Next, seven green symbols connect across rows 3 and 4: the best planet touched is ×2, so the group pays double, then row 3 goes up to ×3. The grid settles. Next spin, all planets go back down.
Who it fits: medium volatility
Zero Orbit is classed as medium volatility, which is a useful guide: it is designed for regular action rather than long silences, with the free spins as the main route to bigger results. That makes it a good everyday slot, and a sensible first stop for players new to cluster mechanics. A flat stake and a moderate session budget suit it well; the 35.2× buy is one of the cheaper bonus prices in our catalogue for those who want straight access to the portals.
How it stands next to Reactoonz and Sweet Bonanza
Reactoonz from Play'n GO is the classic alien cluster grid, built around a charging meter and transforming characters. Sweet Bonanza is a tumble slot where symbols pay anywhere. Zero Orbit's twist is positional: where a group sits matters, because the row decides which planet multiplies it. If you want to compare it with our newer cluster games, read the Black Jaguar Temple review, whose grid grows, and the Lunar Alchemy review, with its moon cycle.

Playing on mobile
Held upright, the 6×5 grid takes the width of the screen with the planets lined up along the side. It plays the same in landscape and on desktop. HTML5, no download.
