Nocturn Play for Sweepstakes: sweepstakes casino games on Gold Coins and Sweep Coins

Sweepstakes casinos need games that understand two coins, not one. Nocturn Play for Sweepstakes puts our catalogue on Gold Coins and Sweep Coins, through a wallet layer that sits next to our standard integration instead of replacing it.

Every game in Gold Coins and Sweep Coins, free

Nocturn Play for Sweepstakes is the sweepstakes casino software line of the Nocturn Play studio: our slots, crash, instant, keno and bingo games running on Gold Coins (GC) and Sweep Coins (SC) instead of a single currency. It plugs into an operator's own wallet, keeps every round in the coin it was played in, and leaves the operator's sweepstakes rules, prize redemption and player checks in the operator's hands.

A separate product line for sweepstakes casinos

Sweepstakes and social casino sites run on a model that most game studios never designed for. Players hold two balances, they pick which one to play with, and every win has to land back on the right one. Plugging a standard casino wallet into that model usually means workarounds on the operator side: a second account per player, a converter in the middle, or games that simply can't be offered.

Nocturn Play for Sweepstakes is built for that model from the start. It is a product line of its own, added alongside our standard offer. The games are the same ones you see on our games page; what changes is the wallet they talk to, and the words the player sees on screen.

Gold Coins and Sweep Coins, explained

  • Gold Coins (GC). The entertainment coin. Players get them in packs, through daily logins or promotions, and play with them for fun. Gold Coins have no cash value and can never be exchanged. Each brand decides how many Gold Coins a pack contains, for example 60,000 GC in a given pack.
  • Sweep Coins (SC). The promotional coin. Sweep Coins come with a Gold Coin purchase at a fixed rate of one Sweep Coin per US dollar paid, so a 20 USD pack carries 20.00 SC. Operators can also hand them out for free, through mail-in requests or daily bonuses. Whether and how Sweep Coins can be redeemed for prizes is set by the operator's own rules.

The two coins never mix inside a round. The stake is taken from the coin in play only, and the win is paid back in that same coin. A spin played on Gold Coins pays Gold Coins; a spin played on Sweep Coins pays Sweep Coins.

Gold Coins and Sweep Coins in practice: worked examples

Numbers make the model easier to picture. The examples below follow one player through a pack and three rounds. Only the Gold Coin amount of the pack is a brand choice; everything else follows the rules above.

Buying a pack

The player buys a 20 USD pack. The brand has set that pack to 60,000 GC, so the Gold Coin balance goes from zero to 60,000 GC. The Sweep Coin side follows the price and nothing else: 20.00 SC are added. Another brand could put 50,000 or 100,000 GC in its 20 USD pack, but the 20.00 SC would not move.

A round on Gold Coins

The player opens Black Vigil on Gold Coins and stakes 2,000 GC. The Gold Coin balance drops to 58,000 GC while the round plays out. The spin lands a win of five times the stake, so 10,000 GC are credited and the balance reads 68,000 GC. The Sweep Coin balance is untouched throughout: still 20.00 SC.

A round on Sweep Coins

Later the same player switches to Sweep Coins and starts a crash round in Altitude Zero with a stake of 1.00 SC. The Sweep Coin balance drops to 19.00 SC. The player cashes out at ×3.50, so 3.50 SC come back and the balance shows 22.50 SC. The 68,000 GC on the other side stay exactly where they were.

A rollback

Suppose a third round starts with a 1.00 SC stake and the operator's wallet confirms the debit, but the round cannot be completed, for example because the connection fails before it is settled. The game server then sends a rollback that refers to that same round. The operator returns the 1.00 SC to the Sweep Coin balance, which is back at 22.50 SC, and the round is closed as cancelled. Nothing is ever refunded into the other coin.

How the sweepstakes casino software integrates

Sweepstakes play has its own entry point on our operator API, kept apart from the standard wallet. Operators already connected to us keep their current integration untouched and add the sweepstakes calls next to it. Step by step:

  1. Enable the account. We switch on sweepstakes mode for your operator code. Until that is done, sweepstakes launch requests are refused with an explicit error, so nothing can go live by accident.
  2. Launch a session in one coin. Your platform calls the sweepstakes launch endpoint with the player, the game, the language and the coin, GC or SC. Without a coin the session opens on Gold Coins. Each game session runs on a single coin from start to finish.
  3. Answer the balance call. Your wallet returns the player's balance in the coin of the session: Gold Coins as a whole number, Sweep Coins with two decimals.
  4. Answer bet and win calls. Each debit and credit carries the coin, the amount, the round and a transaction id. A stake larger than the balance is answered with an insufficient funds error and the round does not start; it is never taken from the other coin.
  5. Handle rollbacks. A rollback names the round whose stake must be returned, in the coin of that round.
  6. Rely on idempotence. Every transaction id is unique. If our server sends the same id twice, for instance after a timeout, your wallet replies with the result it gave the first time, so a round can never be paid twice. Wins and rollbacks that fail on the network are retried in the background until your wallet confirms them, so a win is never lost.

Every request from our server to your wallet is signed, so your side can check that it really comes from Nocturn Play. Packs are yours to configure: each brand sets its own prices and Gold Coin amounts, while the Sweep Coin amount always follows the price and is not configurable.

The GC/SC selector in the game

A Gold Coins / Sweep Coins selector stays visible at the top of every game, showing the balance of both coins, so the player always knows which one is in play. The labels read Gold Coins and Sweep Coins, never a currency code the player has to decode. Because one session holds one coin, switching opens a twin session in the other coin, and the switch is refused while a round is still in progress. Nothing on the Gold Coin side talks about cash or withdrawals.

How sweepstakes rules are handled

A sweepstakes casino runs under its own official rules, written and published by the operator. Our games do not replace those rules; they make sure every round respects the coin model the rules describe. The division of work is simple.

  • Official rules: the operator publishes them and decides what Sweep Coins can be used for, the minimum amounts for a redemption and any play-through condition.
  • Free entry: operators offer a way to receive Sweep Coins without buying a pack, often called the alternative method of entry, typically a mail-in request, alongside daily bonuses. These Sweep Coins are credited by the operator to the same SC balance and play exactly like the ones that came with a pack.
  • Redemption and identity checks: handled entirely in the operator's back office. The player asks the operator, and the operator verifies and processes the request with its own tools.
  • The game engine: keeps both balances straight, pays each win in the coin played, and records every round with its transaction ids so the operator can trace any session.

Which games are available on sweepstakes

The whole catalogue can run in GC/SC mode, because the game engine is the same: same maths, same features, same max win. The families below are a starting point for building a sweepstakes lobby row by row.

Sweepstakes slots

Crash and instant games

Altitude Zero, Lumen Drift, Moonshot, Nocturn Tower, Starboard Dice, Velvet Vault and Midnight Rails settle in seconds and leave the stop decision to the player, which suits Sweep Coin sessions well.

Keno, bingo and draw games

Turbo Keno 80, Eighty Nights, Night Bingo and Comet Bingo give the lobby a slower rhythm built around a draw.

Arcade, card and other formats

Shooting games such as Leviathan Gold and Nebula Hunters, the naval battle Ghost Fleet, the coin pusher Sands of the Mansa, the Hi-Lo game High Society and the scratch card The Sapphire Sleeper fill the rows that most sweepstakes lobbies leave empty.

Use cases: who Nocturn Play for Sweepstakes is for

A new sweepstakes casino

A brand launching from scratch needs a full lobby on day one, not three slots and a promise. Starting with Nocturn Play gives it slots, crash, instant and draw games on a single dual-coin integration, and it can add other studios later around that base. Our comparison of sweepstakes game providers shows how that base sits next to the studios US lobbies carry most.

A social casino adding Sweep Coins

Many social casinos already sell Gold Coin packs and want to add a promotional coin. With Nocturn Play the Gold Coin side keeps working as before, and the Sweep Coin side is a second coin in the same wallet, launched per session. The operator writes its official rules, sets up free entry and redemption, and the games follow.

A sweepstakes platform or aggregator

A platform that serves several sweepstakes brands connects once and passes the catalogue on to each of them. Every brand keeps its own packs and Gold Coin amounts, while the coin logic in the games stays identical for all of them. For the commercial routes, see the partners page.

Why sweepstakes operators look at Nocturn Play

Few studios offer games that handle Gold Coins and Sweep Coins out of the box. Most sweepstakes sites end up with a short lobby, or with games wrapped in a conversion layer that breaks as soon as a round is replayed. With us the dual balance is native, the catalogue is wide, from line slots to crash and keno, and our sports partner Nocturn Sport for Sweepstakes covers the sportsbook side with the same two coins.

If your lobby lost its Pragmatic Play titles, the Pragmatic Play sweepstakes alternative page matches each of its game families to a Nocturn Play title.

To try the whole catalogue yourself, every title is on the free sweepstakes games page, playable in Gold Coins with the coin selector built in.

Comparing studios before you decide? Our overview of sweepstakes game providers sets Nocturn Play next to the names US lobbies carry most, and the operator guide to sweepstakes slots for US players goes through the game types, volatility mix and coin selector that work in 2026.

To see the games themselves, open any title on the games page; they play free in the browser. For the commercial side, read the partners page.

Frequently asked questions

What are sweepstakes casino games?

Casino games, such as slots, crash or keno, that run on two coins instead of one: Gold Coins played for entertainment and Sweep Coins played under the operator's sweepstakes rules. Nocturn Play for Sweepstakes offers our catalogue in that format.

What is the difference between Gold Coins and Sweep Coins?

Gold Coins are an entertainment coin with no cash value; each brand sets how many come in a pack. Sweep Coins are a promotional coin given at one Sweep Coin per US dollar paid for a pack, or for free through mail-in requests and bonuses, and the operator decides how they can be redeemed.

Are wins paid in the coin that was played?

Yes. A round played on Gold Coins pays Gold Coins and a round played on Sweep Coins pays Sweep Coins. The coins never mix inside a round.

Which sweepstakes slots does Nocturn Play offer?

The full slot catalogue, from line slots such as Neon Ronin and Luchador Showdown to cluster slots such as Lunar Alchemy and Hold & Win games such as Thunder Bison, all available on Gold Coins and Sweep Coins.

Is Nocturn Play a sweepstakes game provider?

Yes. Nocturn Play is a game studio with a dedicated sweepstakes product line, so sweepstakes and social casino operators can take its games on GC and SC through one integration.

Can a social casino use Nocturn Play for sweepstakes?

Yes. A social casino that already sells Gold Coin packs can add Sweep Coins as a second coin in its wallet; the games then open sessions in either coin.

Do I need to change my current Nocturn Play integration?

No. Sweepstakes play uses a separate API entry point and its own sessions. Your current integration and games keep working exactly as they do today.

What happens if the same transaction is sent twice?

Each transaction id is unique, and your wallet answers a repeated id with its first result. A retried bet or win is therefore never counted twice.

Who handles prize redemption?

The operator. Identity checks, minimum amounts and play-through rules for Sweep Coins are managed in the operator's own back office.

What is sweepstakes casino software?

The games and the wallet logic a sweepstakes site runs on. Nocturn Play provides the game side: the catalogue, the GC/SC sessions and the transaction calls, while the operator runs its own site, packs and rules.
