Gold Rush Outlaws slot
A western where the reels themselves are restless. Each of the six reels picks a new height on every spin, from two to six symbols, so the number of ways to win changes all the time, up to 46,656.
Dynamic Reels, explained without the jargon
Multiply the six reel heights together and you get the number of ways for that spin. Six tall reels give 46,656 ways; a spin with lots of short reels might only give a few hundred. Wins are counted left to right on adjacent reels, and every copy of a symbol on a reel counts, so two Golden Revolvers on reel 1 and three on reel 2 already make six combinations.
The premium cast is pure frontier: the Golden Revolver, the Masked Bandit, Gold Bars, the Sheriff Star and the Outlaw Hat. Whiskey and three gemstones cover the lower pays.
Bounty Wilds
The Bull Skull is the wild. Some of them carry a bounty of ×2, ×3 or ×5, and that bounty counts on the reel, not on the line: a ×3 wild on reel 3 counts as three symbols for every way that passes through it. Two bounty wilds on the same winning way multiply each other's effect fast.
Free spins: the multiplier that only goes up
Dynamite on three or more different reels pays a scatter prize and starts 10 free spins. Spin one is played at ×1, spin two at ×2, and so on up to ×10, applied to everything that spin wins. Retriggers add spins at the top multiplier, which is why a retrigger here feels very different from one in a fixed-multiplier bonus. You can also buy the feature for 100× the bet.
Unlike plenty of slots that print a max win nobody ever sees, the 5,000× ceiling on Gold Rush Outlaws is actually reached: in our simulations it happens roughly once every 900,000 spins.
How does it compare?
We set it against Hacksaw Gaming's Wanted Dead or a Wild, the western every player knows. Read the comparison.
